Surah 100

100 surah

وَالۡعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبۡحًا ۙ‏ ١

By (the horses) that charge snorting,

Kasam hai un (ghodon) ki jo phunkare marte hue dhaudte hai

فَالۡمُوۡرِيٰتِ قَدۡحًا ۙ‏ ٢

then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs),

Phir (apne tapon se) chingariyan jhaadte hain

فَالۡمُغِيۡرٰتِ صُبۡحًا ۙ‏ ٣

then raid by the dawn,

Phir subah sawere chapa marte hain

فَاَثَرۡنَ بِهٖ نَقۡعًا ۙ‏ ٤

and blaze a trail of dust,

Phir is mauke par gard o gubar udatey hai

فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهٖ جَمۡعًا ۙ‏ ٥

and penetrate deep into a host.

Phir isi halat mei kisi majmey ke andar ja ghustey hai

اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَـكَنُوۡدٌ ۚ‏ ٦

Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord;

Haqiqat yeh hai ke Insan apne Rubb ka bada nashukra hai

وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيۡدٌ ۚ‏ ٧

and he himself is a witness to that,

Aur woh khud is par gawah hai

وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيۡدٌ ؕ‏ ٨

and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving.

Aur woh maal-o-daulat ki muhabbat mei buri tarah mubtala hai

اَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ اِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِى الۡقُبُوۡرِۙ‏ ٩

Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown;

To kya woh us waqt ko nahin janta jab qabron mein jo kuch (madfun) hai usey nikal liya jayega

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى الصُّدُوۡرِۙ‏ ١٠

and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)?

Aur seeno mein jo kuch (makhfi) hai usey baramad karke uski jaanch padtal ki jayegi

اِنَّ رَبَّهُمۡ بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لَّخَبِيۡرٌ‏ ١١

Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them.

Yaqeenan unka Rubb us roz unse khoob bakhabar hoga
