Surah Al-Baqarah: 2 - Ayah: 262
Arabic
اَلَّذِيۡنَ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَهُمۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتۡبِعُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مَنًّا وَّلَاۤ اَذًىۙ لَّهُمۡ اَجۡرُهُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡۚ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُوۡنَ
English
Those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah and do not follow up their spending by stressing their benevolence and causing hurt, will find their reward secure with their Lord. They have no cause for fear and grief.
Urdu
Jo log apne maal Allah ki raah mein kharch karte hain aur kharch karke phir ehsan nahin jatate na dukh dete hain, unka ajar unke Rubb ke paas hai aur unke liye kisi ranjh aur khauf ka mauqa nahin
Surah Al-Baqarah: 2 - Ayah: 263
Arabic
قَوۡلٌ مَّعۡرُوۡفٌ وَّمَغۡفِرَةٌ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ صَدَقَةٍ يَّتۡبَعُهَاۤ اَذًىؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَنِىٌّ حَلِيۡمٌ
English
To speak a kind word and to forgive people’s faults is better than charity followed by hurt. Allah is All-Sufficient, All-Forbearing.
Urdu
Ek meetha bol aur kisi nagawaar baat par zara si chasm poshi (forbearance) us khairaat se behtar hai, jiske pichey dukh ho. Allah be-niyaz hai aur burdbaari (forbearing) uski siffat hai
Surah Al-Baqarah: 2 - Ayah: 264
Arabic
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تُبۡطِلُوۡا صَدَقٰتِكُمۡ بِالۡمَنِّ وَالۡاَذٰىۙ كَالَّذِىۡ يُنۡفِقُ مَالَهٗ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ فَمَثَلُهٗ كَمَثَلِ صَفۡوَانٍ عَلَيۡهِ تُرَابٌ فَاَصَابَهٗ وَابِلٌ فَتَرَكَهٗ صَلۡدًا ؕ لَا يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ مِّمَّا كَسَبُوۡا ؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهۡدِى الۡقَوۡمَ الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ
English
Believers! Do not nullify your acts of charity by stressing your benevolence and causing hurt as does he who spends his wealth only to be seen by people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. The example of his spending is that of a rock with a thin coating of earth upon it: when a heavy rain smites it, the earth is washed away, leaving the rock bare; such people derive no gain from their acts of charity. Allah does not set the deniers of the Truth on the Right Way.

Aey iman laney walon! Apne sadaqat ko ehsan jata kar aur dukh dekar us shaks ki tarah khaakh mein na mila do, jo apna maal mehaz logon ke dikhane ko kharch karta hai aur na Allah par iman rakhta hai na aakhirat par, uske kharch ki misaal aisi hai jaise ek chattan (rock) thi, jispar mitti ki teh jami hui thi, ispar jab zoar ka meh (barish) barsa, to saari mitti bhi gayi aur saaf chattan ki chattan reh gayi, aisey log apne nazdeek khayraat karke jo neki kamate hain, ussey kuch bhi unke haath nahin aata, aur kaafiron ko seedhi raah dikhana Allah ka dastoor nahin hai
Surah Al-Baqarah: 2 - Ayah: 267
Arabic
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ طَيِّبٰتِ مَا كَسَبۡتُمۡ وَمِمَّاۤ اَخۡرَجۡنَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَا تَيَمَّمُوا الۡخَبِيۡثَ مِنۡهُ تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ وَلَسۡتُمۡ بِاٰخِذِيۡهِ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ تُغۡمِضُوۡا فِيۡهِؕ وَاعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيۡدٌ
English
Believers! Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the good things you have earned and out of what We have produced for you from the earth, and choose not for your spending the bad things such as you yourselves would not accept or accept only by overlooking its defects. Know well that Allah is All-Munificent, Most Praiseworthy.
Urdu
Aey logon jo iman laye ho, jo maal tumne kamaye hain aur jo kuch humne zameen se tumhare liye nikala hai, usmein se behtar hissa raah e khuda mein kharch karo, aisa na ho ke uski raah mein dene ke liye buri se buri cheez chaantne (pick out) ki koshish karne lago, halaanke wahi cheez agar koi tumhein dey to tum hargiz usey lena gawara na karoge illa yeh ke isko qabool karne mein tum igmaaz (disdain) barat jao, tumhein jaan lena chahiye ke Allah bay-niyaz hai aur behtareen sifaat se muttasif hai
Surah Al-Baqarah: 2 - Ayah: 271
Arabic
اِنۡ تُبۡدُوا الصَّدَقٰتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِىَۚ وَاِنۡ تُخۡفُوۡهَا وَ تُؤۡتُوۡهَا الۡفُقَرَآءَ فَهُوَ خَيۡرٌ لَّكُمۡؕ وَيُكَفِّرُ عَنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ سَيِّاٰتِكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ خَبِيۡرٌ
English
If you dispense your charity publicly, it is well; but if you conceal it and pay it to the needy in secret, it will be even better for you. This will atone for several of your misdeeds. Allah is well aware of all that you do.
Urdu
Agar apne sadaqaat elaniya (openly) do to yeh bhi accha hai, lekin agar chupa kar haajat-mandon ko do to yeh tumhare haqq mein zyada behtar hai, tumhari bahut si buraiyan is tarz e amal se mehw (expiate) ho jati hain .Aur jo kuch tum karte ho Allah ko bahar haal uski khabar hai
Surah An-Nisa: 4 - Ayah: 38
Arabic
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اَمۡوَالَهُمۡ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكُنِ الشَّيۡطٰنُ لَهٗ قَرِيۡنًا فَسَآءَ قَرِيۡنًا
English
Allah does not love those who spend out of their wealth to make a show of it to people when they believe neither in Allah nor in the Last Day. And he who has taken Satan for a companion has indeed taken for himself a very bad companion.
Urdu
Aur woh log bhi Allah ko na-pasand hain jo apne maal mehaz logon ko dikhane ke liye kharch karte hain aur dar haqeeqat na Allah par iman rakhte hain na roz e aakhir par, sach yeh hai ke shaytan jiska rafeeq (companion) hua usey bahut hi buri rafaqat muyassar aayi
Surah Al-Insan: 76 - Ayah: 6
Arabic
عَيۡنًا يَّشۡرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللّٰهِ يُفَجِّرُوۡنَهَا تَفۡجِيۡرًا
English
This will be a gushing spring wherefrom Allah's servants shall drink wine, a spring from which they will take out channels wherever they wish.
Urdu
Yeh ek behta chasma(spring) hoga jiske pani ke saath Allah ke bandey sharaab piyengey aur jahan chahengey ba-sahulat uski shakhein (nikal) lengey
Surah Al-Insan: 76 - Ayah: 7
Arabic
يُوۡفُوۡنَ بِالنَّذۡرِ وَيَخَافُوۡنَ يَوۡمًا كَانَ شَرُّهٗ مُسۡتَطِيۡرًا
English
These will be the ones who fulfil their vows and dread the Day whose woe shall be spread far and wide;
Urdu
Yeh woh log hongey jo (duniya mein) nazar poori karte hain, aur us din se darte hain jiski aafat har taraf phaili hui hogi
Surah Al-Insan: 76 - Ayah: 8
Arabic
وَيُطۡعِمُوۡنَ الطَّعَامَ عَلٰى حُبِّهٖ مِسۡكِيۡنًا وَّيَتِيۡمًا وَّاَسِيۡرًا
English
those who, for the love of Him, feed the needy, and the orphan, and the captive,
Urdu
Aur Allah ki muhabbat mein miskeen aur yateem aur qaidi ko khana khilate hain
Surah Al-Insan: 76 - Ayah: 9
Arabic
اِنَّمَا نُطۡعِمُكُمۡ لِـوَجۡهِ اللّٰهِ لَا نُرِيۡدُ مِنۡكُمۡ جَزَآءً وَّلَا شُكُوۡرًا
English
(saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you any recompense or thanks,
Urdu
Aur unse kehte hain ke (hum tumhein sirf) Allah ki khatir khila rahey hain, hum tumse na koi badla chahte hain na shukriya
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 10
Arabic
وَهَدَيۡنٰهُ النَّجۡدَيۡنِۚ
English
And did We not show him the two highroads (of good and evil)?
Urdu
Aur dono numayan raste usey (nahin) dikha diye
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 11
Arabic
فَلَا اقۡتَحَمَ الۡعَقَبَةَ ۖ
English
But he did not venture to scale the difficult steep.
Urdu
Magar usne dushwar guzar ghati(steep) se guzarne ki himmat na ki
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 12
Arabic
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡعَقَبَةُ ؕ
English
And what do you know what that difficult steep is?
Urdu
Aur tum kya jaano kay kya hai woh dushwar guzar ghaati
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 13
English
It is freeing someone's neck from slavery;
Urdu
Kisi gardan ko gulami se chudana
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 14
Arabic
اَوۡ اِطۡعٰمٌ فِىۡ يَوۡمٍ ذِىۡ مَسۡغَبَةٍ ۙ
English
or giving food on a day of hunger
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 15
Arabic
يَّتِيۡمًا ذَا مَقۡرَبَةٍ ۙ
English
to an orphan near of kin;
Surah Al-Balad: 90 - Ayah: 16
Arabic
اَوۡ مِسۡكِيۡنًا ذَا مَتۡرَبَةٍ ؕ
English
or to a destitute lying in dust;
Urdu
Ya khaak nasheen miskeen ko khana khilana
Surah Al-Layl: 92 - Ayah: 18
Arabic
الَّذِىۡ يُؤۡتِىۡ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰىۚ
English
the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself;
Urdu
Jo paakiza honay ki khatir apna maal deta hai
Surah Al-Layl: 92 - Ayah: 19
Arabic
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنۡدَهٗ مِنۡ نِّعۡمَةٍ تُجۡزٰٓىۙ
English
not as payment for any favours that he received,
Urdu
Uspar kisi ka koi ehsan nahin hai jiska badla usey dena ho
Surah Al-Layl: 92 - Ayah: 20
Arabic
اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ الۡاَعۡلٰىۚ
English
but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High.
Urdu
Woh to sirf apne Rubb-e-bartrar ki raza joii ke liye yeh kaam karta hai
Surah Al-Layl: 92 - Ayah: 21
Arabic
وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضٰى
English
He will surely be well-pleased (with him).
Urdu
Aur zaroor woh (us se) khush hoga
Surah Ad-Duhaa: 93 - Ayah: 10
Arabic
وَاَمَّا السَّآٮِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡؕ
English
and chide not him who asks,
Urdu
Aur saayil(maangne waley) ko na jhidko
