Surah 82

082 surah

اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتۡۙ‏ ١

When the heaven is split asunder,

Jab Aasman phat jayega

وَاِذَا الۡكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتۡۙ‏ ٢

when the stars are scattered,

Aur jab taarey bikhar jayengey

وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡۙ‏ ٣

when the seas are made to burst forth,

Aur jab samandar phaad diye jayengey

وَاِذَا الۡقُبُوۡرُ بُعۡثِرَتۡۙ‏ ٤

and when graves are laid open,

Aur jab qabrein khol di jayengi

عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَاَخَّرَتۡؕ‏ ٥

everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later.

Us waqt har shaks ko uska agla pichla sab kiya dhara maloom ho jayega

يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الۡكَرِيۡمِۙ‏ ٦

O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord

Aey insaan kis cheez ne tujhey apne uss Rubb-e-kareem ki taraf se dhoke mein daal diya

الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰٮكَ فَعَدَلَـكَۙ‏ ٧

Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned,

Jisne tujhey paida kiya, tujhey nek-suk se durust kiya(shaped you), tujhe mutanasib(well-proportioned) banaya

فِىۡۤ اَىِّ صُوۡرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَؕ‏ ٨

and set you in whatever form He pleased?

Aur jis surat mein chaha tujhko jodh kar tayyar kiya

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِالدِّيۡنِۙ‏ ٩

No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie;

Hargiz nahin balke (asal baat yeh hai ke) tumlog jaza-o-saza ko jhutlate ho

وَاِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحٰـفِظِيۡنَۙ‏ ١٠

you do so the while there are watchers over you;

Halaanke tumpar nigraan muqarrar hain

كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيۡنَۙ‏ ١١

noble scribes,

Aisey muazzaz kaatib

يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ‏ ١٢

who know what you do.

Jo tumharey har fail(amal) ko jantey hain

اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِىۡ نَعِيۡمٍۚ‏ ١٣

Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss,

Yaqeenan neik log mazey mei hongey

وَاِنَّ الۡفُجَّارَ لَفِىۡ جَحِيۡمٍ ۚۖ‏ ١٤

and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire.

Aur beshak badkar log jahannam me jayenge

يَّصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ‏ ١٥

They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense

Jaza ke din woh is mein daakhil hongey

وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآٮِٕبِيۡنَؕ‏ ١٦

and then shall never come out of it.

Aur us se hargiz gayab na ho sakengey

وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِۙ‏ ١٧

What do you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Aur tum kya jaante ho ke woh jaza ka din kya hai

ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِؕ‏ ١٨

Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Haan tumhein kya khabar ke woh jaza ka din kya hai

يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٌ لِّنَفۡسٍ شَيۡـــًٔا​ ؕ وَالۡاَمۡرُ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لِّلَّهِ‏ ١٩

It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's.

Yeh woh din hai jab kisi shaks ke liye kuch karna kisi ke bas mei na hoga, faisla us din bilkul Allah ke ikhtiyar mein hoga
